Psychologist - Elderly care in Las Angelis, CA
Like many who live in Los Angeles, I am a transplant from Chicago. I was born and raised in Omaha Nebraska, lived 20 years in Chicago, then moved to California in 2015 where I started my private practice.
I have worked in the mental health field in many different forms for the past 10 years. Before working in private practice, I worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families at an elementary school, inpatient psychiatric hospital, outpatient addiction and pain management agency and community mental-health.

In addition, I have obtained additional training in the aging brain, grief, neuro-developmental disorders and addictions. I have extensive experience working with trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief counseling. My experiences working various different settings have given me a wide array of exposure in assisting individuals with various needs.
I am licensed in California as a LPCC and in Illinois as a LCPC. In addition, I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Specialization, with a concentration in Crisis and Trauma from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology – Chicago Campus. I also hold a graduate Certificate in Holocaust and Genocide studies from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA, and I earned my undergrad degree in Behavioral Science from National Louis University in Chicago IL.

Additionally.... I went on to earn certifications in Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, Trauma and Resilience from Herzog Israel Center for the treatment of Psycho-trauma, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) from the EMDR Institute, and Somatic Experiencing from Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute.
